What Derby means to me: inclusion, dedication, family - it has changed my life for the better. My league are my second family and playing has given me more confidence and body confidence than I ever thought possible and ever had before- finally a sport where ALL shapes and sizes are seen as amazing! It’s also made me enjoy exercise - I want to gym because I want to get stronger for this beautiful sport. Wheely shoes are the best!

I have been with Dead End Derby since 2010 when my second daughter was just 6 months old. Roller derby is such a great sport, everyone is so supportive and we have so much fun. I love it how derby is perfect for all body shapes and ages.. I also love seeing how quickly new skaters learn the skills to play. Come and join us!

I've met some amazing humans during my derby journey and I'm looking forward to meeting more. Derby is my safe place where I can be my goofy self. Derby has welcomed my scrawny Fil-Am ass, and has challenged me physically and mentally with each season. If only it was around when I was younger to give me the confidence I so desperately needed....It's going to be so hard to retire.
